Reigning TNA X-Division Champion Cedric Alexander had a huge challenge at TNA Slammiversary 2026. He had to defend his title against six different challengers in a grueling Ultimate X battle, including former champion Amazing Red. Alexander was successful and retained his title at today’s pay-per-view event in Boston.

The finish came after Leon Slater wiped out everyone in the ring with a Double Lariat from the cables. Slater made the climb, along with Red. They unstrapped the title and fought over it on the cables. However, it fell right from their grasp and into the hands of Alexander, allowing him to retain the title!

After the match, Slater showed respect to Red. Also, Frankie Kazarian got on the microphone and made it official. Amazing Red will be inducted into the TNA Wrestling Hall of Fame. His induction will take place in October at Bound for Glory.

Cedric Alexander won the X-Division Title from Slater last month on Thursday Night Impact! As a result, he denied Slater from becoming the longest-reigning X-Division Champion ever. Alexander has held the belt for 45 days.
