Chelsea Green has provided a bit of an update on the upcoming films she’s set to appear in alongside to her WWE work. The WWE Women’s Champion has been open about her desire to do acting work in addition to her appearing in the ring, and has filmed for a couple of films over the past year.
Green spoke with PIX11 News and gave an update on the two upcoming film appearances. The first is We Could Be Heroes, a comedy-adventure which stars Ron Perlman, Peter Facinelli and more. Paul Emami is directing that film, which is described as following “an unlikely wannabe detective who finds himself pulled into a very real mystery when a young gamer gets into trouble and turns to him for help recovering her stolen gaming rig. What begins as a seemingly straightforward favor quickly develops into a much bigger adventure.”
The second film is the horror movie Red Wedding, which comes from director Josh Stolberg (Skillhouse, Crawlspace) and stars Lauren LaVera and Rory Culkin. It “follows a teenager and her stepmother who are kidnapped and taken to a remote location as part of a ransom plot, soon discovering their captors are the least of their worries when a deadly bride and groom arrive and begin picking them off one by one.”
You can see highlights from Green’s comments below:
On We Could Be Heroes:
“Yes, so I just wrapped a film called We Could Be Heroes. I did a quick cameo in it. It’s a comedy, it was shot in Toronto. That was amazing. Just like in and out. I love Toronto.”
On Red Wedding:
“And then the one I filmed previously a couple months ago was a horror film. Right now, we think it’s called Red Wedding, anything could change. We’re hoping it will come out sometime around Valentine’s Day 2027. And it stars Rory Culkin and Lauren LeVera air from Terrifier. So that was amazing, working alongside — I mean, two just horror icons.”
