Chris Jericho Praises ‘WWE-Level Crowd’ at TNA Bound for Glory, Thinks TNA Looked Like ‘The Second Biggest Company in the World’

Chris Jericho was joined by none other than WWE Hall of Famers Bully Ray (aka Bubba Ray Dudley) and D-Von Dudley, Team 3D (aka The Dudley Boyz), and The Hardys (Matt and Jeff Hardy) on this week’s Talk Is Jericho to discuss their final match against each other at last month’s Bound for Glory 2025. Jericho notably had a lot of high praise for the pay-per-view event and the crowd in attendance.
At Bound for Glory, The Hardys beat Team 3D in a Tables Match, successfully defending the WWE NXT and TNA Tag Team Titles. Praising the final match between the Hardys and Team 3D, Jericho said, “Let me tell you what I think from my point of view, just a couple observations then then you guys can take over. As most of us, we wrestle a lot for many years, decades. It’s pretty rare to actually watch wrestling. You know, it’s just kind of how it is.”
Jericho added, “I don’t think I’ve watched an Impact or sorry, a TNA match in ages, if not this decade at all. I was so impressed. Well, first of all, you guys had a match. I wasn’t even in the match. It was the beginning part before you guys even locked up. It was the end part after it happened. Like that, I’m getting literal goosebumps. That’s pro wrestling in its ultimate form. That’s all that matters is that emotion and that reaction.”
Chris Jericho also shared his praise for the crowd at the event, remarking that the crowd looked “huge” and was “like a WWE-level crowd.” Jericho stated, “That crowd looked huge. It looked huge. It was like a WWE-level crowd. The place was packed.”
Jericho, who is currently still under contract with AEW, also compared the crowd at the Tsongas Center for Bound for Glory to some of the recent AEW Dynamite TV tapings at the 2300 Arena (aka the ECW arena). He noted, “I was watching this and you know, not saying anything out of school here, but comparing it to watching Dynamite when they were at the ECW arena, which looked like a Tony Condello taping. Sorry, it did.”
Chris Jericho also praised how TNA Wrestling looked with the event, saying that with Bound For Glory, TNA “looked like the second biggest company in the world.” The former AEW World Champion continued, “You guys looked — TNA looked like the second biggest company in the world, you know, and that was amazing. And the presentation was amazing,” later adding, “I mean, it looked like a WrestleMania, it really did.”
As previously reported, TNA Bound for Glory 2025 drew an announced attendance of 7,794 people. However, later documents released by the University of Massachusetts Lowell said the tickets sold for the show were 5,554. Also, the venue operator, the Oak View Group, said the event had a turnstile count, the number of tickets used, of 6,137.
Jericho’s comments praising TNA and seemingly mocking AEW’s attendance at the 2300 Arena are interesting amid recent talk that he might be heading back to WWE when his current AEW deal expires at the end of the year. It was also reported last month by Fightful Select that “several global and national companies are interested” in working with Jericho once his AEW contract expires, including WWE.
Chris Jericho has not appeared on AEW programming since April of this year. It’s unknown if and when he will be making his AEW return. Tony Khan said in an interview last month that he “would love to see” Jericho “back in AEW anytime.”
The video of Jericho’s conversation with Team 3D and The Hardys is available below. Jericho’s comments about AEW and TNA start at about seven minutes and 30 seconds into the video.
