A new report has additional details on the number of tickets sold for TNA Bound For Glory. As reported, TNA announced at the October 12th show that the show had 7,794 in attendance. Wrestlenomics reports that, according to documents released by the University of Massachusetts Lowell, the tickets sold were 5,554.

The University owns the Tsongas Center, which is where the show took place. The report comes from Oak View Group, the venue operator. The report notes that the turnstile count — aka, the number of tickets used — was 6,137.

The Oak View Group’s report called the event a “great success” and said that food and beverage sales were among the best in the venue’s history.

TNA spokesperson Ross Forman responded to questions from the outlet. Forman noted that the announced crowd number “was verified by the venue management team at the Tsongas Center.” He noted that the attendance was a venue record as well, which Oak View Group District General Manager Keith Vaske confirmed.

Forman was asked how they calculated 7,794 and said that the type of report Wrestlenomics got didn’t show the full picture. He noted that in addition to the venue capacity of 7,484, they used additional standing room. Forman said:

“Beyond our ticketed attendees, we also had many seats and standing room only occupied by TNA credentialed guests, media, staff, VIPs, and other groups that brought the total attendance to 7,794.”

Forman said that although TNA staff and guests were included, the 225-plus venue workers were not counted in the attendance.

The 5,554 tickets sold generated a gate of $390,348.
