TOHO and GKIDS released the newest teaser and poster image this week for the upcoming sequel, Godzilla Minus Zero. TOHO also revealed the new and returning cast members for the feature. You can check out the newly revealed teaser clip below.

The latest teaser offers a glimpse of the returning cast members from Godzilla Minus One, while also debuting a new character. Of course, the King of the Monsters also returns in the new footage. It’s also theorized that Godzilla is capable of withstanding a thermonuclear strike.

The plot picks up two years after the end of the last movie, as the Shikishima family must face an all-new calamity. Ryunosuke Kamiki returns as Koichi Shikishima, along with Minami Hamabe, who reprises her role as Noriko Shikishima, who miraculously survived Godzilla’s first attack on Tokyo Bay in the previous installment.

Other returning cast members include Hidetaka Yoshioka as Kenji Noda, who fought alongside protagonist Koichi Shikishima in Godzilla Minus One and now battles the new threat as the director of the Disaster Response Bureau. Yuki Yamada is back as Shiro Mizushima, the young crew member of the Shinseimaru who fought on the front lines, and Kuranosuke Sasaki as Seiji Akitsu, the captain of the vessel. Sakura Ando is also back as Sumiko Ota, Shikishima’s neighbor, who now runs a local orphanage.

Lastly, Miou Tanaka returns as Tatsuo Hotta, the former captain of the destroyer Yukikaze. Joining the cast is Min Tanaka, portraying the role of Kanji Murakami, a biologist with deep psychological scars from the war.

Takashi Yamazaki returns as director, screenwriter, and visual effects supervisor. The project was filmed for IMAX with high-definition digital cameras certified by IMAX and optimized in sound and imagery unique to IMAX screens.

Godzilla Minus Zero arrives in theaters in North America on November 6, 2026.
