CM Punk vs. Gunther WWE Undisputed Title Bout Set for Tomorrow’s Summer Tour Live Event

The PPL Center announced this week that WWE Undisputed Champion CM Punk will defend the title against Gunther tomorrow (July 16) night at the non-televised WWE Summer Tour 2026 live event.
The caption reads, “BREAKING NEWS…CM Punk will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against GUNTHER in the main event THIS Thursday night at PPL Center!”
CM Punk won the title last week on Monday Night Raw, beating Sami Zayn to regain the title. Punk and Gunther have only wrestled once before, at WWE SummerSlam almost a year ago. The match saw Punk defeat Gunther to win the World Heavyweight Title. However, after the match, Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Punk, winning the title again.
The WWE Summer Tour 2026 event is being held at the PPL Center in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
