Some headbutts, then a german suplex to Takuma. Stomping of hands, Rayo suplexes Kento on top of Takuma for two. Rayo misses a moonsault as Rey Mysterio joins Corey & JBL on commentary. Bravo with an airplane spin on Kento, and a reverse swing on Takuma! Bravo sends them both down and tags Rayo. Diving headbutts on Takuma only get two! Bravo tags in. Match Rating: ***1/2
This was a lot of stuff! Both teams used pretty much everything in the playbook and went crazy for the people here. The fans were hot for it, they were pretty hot for everything last week too. Big week for the Tokyo Bad Boys, appearing on NXT & this show. They had two chances to impress, we’ll find out what the higher-ups thought soon enough.
Rayo & Bravo dance in celebration, JBL isn’t a big fan of it.
Up next, we’ll hear from Pagano!
We see clips of the various attacks on Psycho Circus over the past few months, then a little of the Psycho Clown vs. El Carnicero match from TripleMania. Pagano sided with Carnicero, even giving him his kendo stick to smack Psycho Clown repeatedly.
Pagano & El Carnicero make their way to the ring. For months, people wondered who attacked Psycho Circus. Who wants to destroy Psycho Clown? The answer is right in front of you: Pagano. The best part of all this is that Psycho knew. Psycho asked if Pagano was responsible. Psycho was always right. Pagano made him doubt himself by making him believe he was wrong when he wasn’t. Pagano tries to calm down Carnicero. Ten years ago, Pagano came to AAA because he wanted to take Psycho’s mask and destroy him. They became friends and won championships. They accomplished a lot together, but it was always about Psycho Clown. Pagano smacks the crap out of Carnicero, and Carnicero headbutts the corner and rips off the top turnbuckle. Pagano became everything the fans wanted him to be, but then he at looked himself in the mirror and didn’t recognize the man in it. He was reminded that he didn’t need friends, partners or the fans. He was a traitor who turned against himself. At TripleMania, Psycho saw the real Pagano. This is only the beginning.
Dave & Murder Clown come down only to get attacked by Carnicero. They both get stomped down. Dave gets choked by Carnicero until Psycho’s music hits! Pagano looks at the entrance, but Psycho sneaks up from behind and attacks him! Psycho & Pagano fight to the back, Carnicero delivers a running clothesline to Murder. Carnicero walks around the ring like a crazy person, then unsettles the announce table and chokeslams a security guard on the floor! Another one gets tossed towards the barricade. Carnicero storms off.
Up next: A Fatal 4-Way #1 Contenders’ Match!
Next week: El Fiscal vs. Taurus! Wagners vs. Mesias & Mecha Wolf! La Catalina will address the future of her reign & the women’s division!
We see clips from Mini Vikingo’s appearance on NXT, he & Chazz Hall will face Vanity Project this Tuesday on NXT.
AAA Cruiserweight Championship #1 Contender’s Match: Jack Cartwheel vs. Nobu San vs. Mini Vikingo vs. Joaquin Wilde: I’ll try my best here but I don’t expect to be able to keep up with this action. Nobu San is also with the Tokyo Bad Boys, I don’t recall the last time or if we’ve seen him on this show. Mini Vikingo apparently won a Cruiserweight Championship match at Worlds Collide, I’m not sure if winning here gives him two title shots. Vikingo & Cartwheel go back & forth, then they switch to Nobu & Wilde. Some near falls for everybody. Superkick by Cartwheel, he & Vikingo end up in the ring. They go back & forth, shoulderblock by Cartwheel, they exchange flips. Arm drags, They elbow their opponents off the apron, Cartwheel takes Vikingo down & hits a running senton. Vikingo rolls out fo the ring. Nobu strikes Cartwheel and tosses him outside. Vikingo sends Nobu outside, then gets tripped by Wilde. Wilde sprays himself, then we see Vikingo dive onto Cartwheel, who ranas Nobu! Wilde dives onto everyone on the floor. We see Rey Fenix watching backstage. Wilde does some dancing over Vikingo. Double elbow on Vikingo by Nobu & Wilde. Nobu moonsaults Vikingo and tries to pin. He & Nobu argue, then Cartwheel attacks. Nobu & Wilde whip Vikingo, he goes up and over. Cartwheel germans Wilde, but Nobu has a dropkick for him. Vikingo has a missile dropkick for Nobu. Vikingo hits a satellite DDT, then Michinoku Drives Nobu for two. Cartwheel blocks a Mexican Destroyer with flips, hits a crucifix driver on Vikingo but misses a moonsault. Everybody is down. Nobu headbutts Wilde, then yanks Vikingo down by the hair. He places Cartwheel up top, kicks Wilde. Nobu uses Wilde’s back as a balance, then superplexes Cartwheel for two. A catapult leads into a tornado DDT. Poision rana by Wilde on Cartwheel. Inverted DDT to Nobu. We see a chain of backslides that gets two. Wilde goes up top and wants to hit Vikingo, but Nobu meets him up there wit ha headbutt. Cartwheel dives into both of them and knocks them off the turnbuckle! Sasuke special to Nobu! Jack’s Arrow on Wilde gets two! Vikingo frog splashes onto the pinfall attempt! Vikingo & Cartwheel trade shots. Vikingo with a crucifix driver on Cartwheel, then an awkward looking bump gets a two count on Vikingo. Standing Spanish fly from Vikingo to Cartwheel! Vikingo with a tornillo to Wilde & Nobu! Vikingo hits a Phoenix 630 splash for the three count on Cartwheel!
Winner: Mini Vikingo (11:25 via pinfall)
Match Rating: ***1/2
Aside from one really awkward miss on a Vikingo move, these guys went out here and did their best stuff while making everybody else’s stuff look great. I didn’t think this was quite up there with some of the other multi-man matches we’ve seen on this program, but it was really darn good.
Mini Vikingo will face Rey Fenix on October 24 at Heroes Immortales! Rey Fenix says they’ll find out who’s the best. He’s the champion and is lucha libre. Fenix walks off as our event comes to an end. So long for now!
