Cruz Montana Lays Out Tony D’Angelo On WWE NXT After Grayson Waller Gets Involved

Tony D’Angelo and Cruz Montana had a back and forth in the main event segment of this week’s NXT, which turned to blows due to Grayson Waller. The closing segment of Tuesday’s show saw Montana come out from the crowd for a promo segment in which he talked about his arrival to NXT and becoming a WWE Superstar. Montana talked about the hard times of his life and how he grew up in some of New York City’s toughest neighborhoods, and how his daughter was his inspiration for making the most of his second chance.

Montana spoke about his time in TNA and that his past wouldn’t dictate his future, noting that he would be the next NXT Champion.

That brought out D’Angelo, who talked about how he’s seen some of the hottest names the business come in and promise to run NXT. He said he believed Montana about everything, except for the notion of being NXT Champion because that spot is taken until futher notice.

The two then staged off until Waller, who returned to the brand earlier in the night, attacked Montana from behind. Waller brawled with D’Angelo and Montana went for the Spin the Block, but he ended up hitting the champion instead. Waller exited the ring and the three stared off as the show ended.
