Deonna Purrazzo made history at last night’s ROH Final Battle 2025 event. She beat Billie Starkz in the finals of the ROH Women’s Pure Championship tournament to win the title and become the inaugural champion.

After the match, Purrazzo discussed the win and what it means to her in a new promo video. Purrazzo stated, “Ring of Honor has been my home in some way, shape, or form for the last 10 years. It gave me a place to grow in front of all your eyes, it gave me a place to fail, to learn, to win, to lose, but I think most importantly, it taught me how to fight, to fight for what I wanted because I wanted women back in Ring of Honor desperately.”

Purrazzo continued, “And the girls that I started this division with 10 years ago, we could’ve never fathomed there would be a ROH Women’s Pure Championship, let alone also a Women’s World Championship. And now, I have outlasted them all, and I am also a former Ring of Honor World Champion, and the first Ring of Honor Women’s Pure Champion.”

She added, “I’m the foundation of women’s wrestling in Ring of Honor. And that’s not boasting, that’s just the truth. So it doesn’t matter who steps up next, if it’s Queen Aminata — and I hope it’s you, Queen. I’m gonna defend this with honor because that’s what I’ve been doing for 10 years! So, welcome back, Ring of Honor, in being fluent in Purrazzo.”

As noted, Queen Aminata was forced to withdraw from the tournament and her scheduled bout against Purrazzo due to a recent injury she suffered in AEW. That clip is available below:
