Details On Backstage Reaction To Nick Khan’s Talent Speech At AAA TripleMania

Nick Khan spoke to the talent at AAA TripleMania, and a new report has some details on how the speech went down backstage. As previously reported, Khan spoke to the talent before the event earlier this month and told then that WWE was not there to change the company, and wanted to help the promotion gain a worldwide audience. Fightful Select reports that sources within AAA say that the speech garnered skepticism, though there wasn’t any reported resentment over it.
According to the outlet, several sources said that they felt like WWE has “firmly planted their flag” pretty obviously, and that the parent company’s influence was on display at TripleMania. That said, none of the talent that spoke with Fightful Select had any issue with Khan’s speech or with the changes made at TripleMania.
As has been noted, The Undertaker has had a heavy influence backstage in AAA and Triple H confirmed that he was a “driving force” behind AAA now. Taker is signed to a lengthy deal that was 15 years at the start, about a year before he retired from the ring, so that they could use him in a number of roles.
