EC3 knows that ROH Death Before Dishonor is taking place from the legendary 2300 arena, but he doesn’t care about the historic implications. EC3 will be part of a Fatal Four-Way match at the show this weekend with the ROH World Championship on the line, battling Brody King, Bandido, and Flamita. Doing an interview with the Straight Shooters podcast, he scoffed at the idea of the former ECW Arena’s significance.

“Oh, like whatever,” EC3 said regarding the building (per Fightful). “It is a building. No, I had a shirt made for it. I’m sick of wrestling. We so desperately want something new. I want this new guy to be pushed. I want this new company to succeed, new new new new, but then we only talk about the past. We’re obsessed with the past nostalgia, nostalgia is dead.”

He continued, “So yeah 2300 Arena, big deal. History took place there. But it doesn’t matter because history is written by the winners. So history will take place this Sunday when I’m the victor, the Ring of Honor champion. But also it meant nothing to me. I wore a shirt. I made a shirt. It says ‘Nuke the bingo hall’ on it. Because at this point, who cares? That was 25 years ago. Get over it. Nothing matters but the current and the present. The longer we live in the past, the longer it’s going to have control over us. So and no, it wasn’t my first time there. I actually showed up at a House of Hardcore event once and got 619’d by Rey Mysterio. Who I still want to take his head for… Or his eye… his other eye.”
