Eddie Kingston cut an emotional promo following his match at Progress Chapter 199, detailing his thought process since the tragic passing of Andy ‘The Butcher’ Williams and Benjamin ‘PAC’ Satterley.

The wrestling world is still reeling from the untimely deaths of The Butcher and PAC last month. At Progress Chapter 199, where he battled Luke Jacobs, Eddie Kingston revealed that he didn’t leave his house for five days after the deaths of Williams and PAC and seriously considered leaving the business.

The former AEW Continental Champion also thanked fans for their unconditional support over the years.

“You lose real people. Life is a f**ked-up place, but I wake up every morning and do this because of the fans. You fans put me into f**king tears with some of your messages. After Andy and Ben passed away, I didn’t leave my house for five days. I wanted to leave this business. This is not about me anymore. This is not about what I want. I don’t know why you guys like me; I really don’t, but I thank you guys so much. Every fan who hit me up to tell me your story about mental health and your f**ked-up life, and you tell me I helped you, bullsh*t, you helped me,” Eddie Kingston said.
