Ethan Page is at the peak of his powers currently. All Ego is presently a double champion. He is the reigning NXT North American Champion and the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion alongside Chelsea Green.

In a recent appearance on Good Karma Wrestling, Ethan opened up about a whole host of things, including his current golden run, the pressures of delivering consistently good performances, and his thoughts on returning to Chicago for an NXT live event on November 15.

Check out the highlights below:

On the pressure of constantly delivering exceptional performances

“I had made a comment to someone this Tuesday that I’m starting to feel the pressure of always hitting the home run. I was like, ‘You know, life is easier when you s**k because there’s just an expectation that no matter what you do, you will never be good enough.’ So, I’m on the other side of that, where there is an expectation that everything I do is magnificent. Yeah, life is pretty tough for me right now.”

On the importance of Chicago in Ethan Page’s career and his thoughts ahead of the NXT live event in the city

“Chicago is definitely like a second, third, or fourth home for me, depends [sic] on who I’m talking to and how many tickets I’m trying to sell. But I would say, Chicago is 100% a place that I have, like, carved a very, very important part of my career. So, I will technically be returning to a place that made me who I am,” All Ego said.

Ethan Page continued:

“Chicago is a wrestling town in general. I’ve had so many big moments in my career, whether it’s independents or other companies, pay-per-views, television, or different venues across the whole city. For me, this is like a bit of homecoming. There are fans of independent promotions that saw me claw my way. Now, I get to return to Chicago, holding these two beautiful championships with two very historic logos on them.”

On his current WWE stint

“I’m not even going to compare my own career. I’m gonna compare it to everybody else. It’s number one. There’s nobody better than me in the entirety of the WWE right now. And I don’t want people to look at the show I’m on as a deterring factor. I would like to put my title run up against any champion in the whole company. Whether it’s RAW, SmackDown, or, um, whatever you believed to have been happening with AAA or TNA or EVOLVE or LFG, there is nobody better under contract with WWE than Ethan Page.”

On whether NXT talents lean on Ethan Page for advice

“I would say as much as I let them, because at the end of the day, we’re all competing against each other, too, and I don’t really care if any of them succeed. I just want myself to do well. But yeah, I’m definitely the best guy here. So, if you’re gonna ask anyone for advice, I would definitely look in the direction of the guy holding two championships.”
