A number of big sports stars appeared in attendance at WrestleMania 42 including George Kittle and Tyrese Haliburton. Saturday’s night one broadcast featured shots of several stars in the crowd. A segment early on featured Kittle, Haliburton, NFL star Jahmyer Gibbs, and ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith in the crowd.
You can see the clip below, in which Kittle chugs a beer as he’s being introduced and also steals Haliburton’s beer to chug his during Haliburton’s spotlight. Meanwhile, Smith got a heel reaction from the crowd and outstretched his arms to soak in the boos.
Kittle is a longtime fan of pro wrestling and made an appearance at WrestleMania 39, where he involved in the impromptu match between Miz and Pat McAfee. Haliburton has attended WrestleMania in the past among other PLEs and made an appearance on NXT in September of 2024.
As for Smith, he has been a big part of ESPN’s coverage of WWE leading into WrestleMania. He noted earlier this week during an interview with Joe Tessitore that he once had a conversation with Nick Khan about making an appearance as a manager, but chose not to because “I ain’t trying to get hit by one of them big boys at all.”
