The PLE saw Rhea Ripley and Randy Orton punch their tickets to WrestleMania 42, as they won their respective Elimination Chamber matches. Ripley last eliminated Tiffany Stratton to set up a WWE Women’s Championship match against Jade Cargill in Las Vegas this April.
Meanwhile, Randy Orton last-eliminated Cody Rhodes to book his spot in the Undisputed WWE Championship match at The Show of Shows. However, it is currently unknown if he will face Drew McIntyre or Cody Rhodes in Vegas. This is because SmackDown GM Nick Aldis announced at the post-show that McIntyre, who interfered in the Men’s Chamber Match and ultimately cost Cody the bout, will defend his title against The American Nightmare this coming Friday.
The night also proved to be a memorable one for CM Punk and AJ Lee. While Punk retained the World Heavyweight Title against Finn Balor, his wife captured her first title in over a decade, as she defeated Becky Lynch via submission to take home the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
