Grayson Waller Scores Upset, Steals NXT Title at WWE NXT Heatwave 2026

It was a night of title changes at WWE NXT Heatwave 2026. However, the biggest one was yet to come in the main event. Grayson Waller won a huge Fatal 4-Way match that also included former champion Tony D’Angelo, Cruz Montana, and Zilla Fatu.

It was Waller who ended up taking out the monstrous Fatu during the bout. He did a Frog Splash off the top rope onto the prone Fatu, who was on the announce table.

It then appeared that Cruz Montana had the match in the bag. He nearly finished D’Angelo with the Spin the Block. However, Waller snuck in and hit Montana with the stunner. He then stole the pinfall, winning the match and the title.

Tony D’Angelo’s NXT Championship run ends at 148 days. He won the belt in April at Stand & Deliver. This is the first NXT Title victory in Grayson Waller’s WWE career.
