As previously reported, Steve Maclin appeared to suffer a legitimate injury at the start of his TNA World Title match at last night’s Sacrifice event. Maclin was helped to the back, and it was initially believed that he may have suffered a concussion. A new report by The Takedown on Sports Illustrated’s Jon Alba has an update on Maclin’s condition.

According to the report, Maclin was evaluated for a concussion and later taken to the hospital for tests. TNA President Carlos Silva later informed The Takedown that Maclin was not diagnosed with a concussion, claiming that the wrestler cleared all his tests. It’s also said that Maclin went back to his hotel for the night.

As noted, Steve Maclin appeared to be hurt after taking a Superkick early on. As he was helped to the back, Eddie Edwards came out for a confrontation with TNA World Champion Mike Santana, before Santana ultimately took him out.
