International Title Match Set For AEW Grand Slam Mexico

Mike Bailey will get their shot at the AEW International Championship at AEW Grand Slam Mexico early next month. It was revealed at Sunday’s AEW Redemption that Bailey will take the title shot they earned earlier in the show against Kyle Fletcher at Grand Slam Mexico on August 5th. Meanwhile, Fletcher defeated Bandido earlier in the match to retain the International Championship.

Bailey was interviewed by Lexy Nair backstage and spoke about coming getting the win in an arena they’ve come to since they were a kid. Bailey said they wanted to make their title shot appropriately international and then named Grand Slam Mexico as the date for the match.

The bout is the first announced for the special episode of Dynamite, which will take place at Arena Mexico in Mexico City and air on TBS and HBO Max.
