During a recent interview with the BBC ahead of AEW All In London, British wrestler Jamie Hayter discussed women’s wrestling dealing with the business’ inherent misogyny, her tag team with Alex Windsor, and more. Below are some additional highlights:
Jamie Hayter on Women’s Wrestling Dealing With Inherent Misogyny
“Women in wrestling have proven themselves – we can do great matches, good promos and make you want to see a match. There’s some inherent misogyny in wrestling as a whole, and women wrestlers for years would always get common tropes, but there are lots of different flavours of women’s wrestling, and we can tap into that more.”
On Her Brawlling Birds Tag Team With Alex Windsor
“It’s pretty close to us in real life. We’re pretty tomboyish, we don’t take things too seriously and we both like going to the pub. We’re loud and boisterous but in a good way, and then you crank that up to 10 – we do ham it up a bit for an American audience.”
At AEW All In London 2026, Jamie Hayter and Brawling Birds tag team partner Alex Windsor challenge Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) for the belts for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Titles. The event takes place on Sunday (Aug. 30) at London’s Wembley Stadium. It will be broadcast live on pay-per-view.
