Jeff Hardy is particularly fond of his original TNA entrance theme and says he wants to record a new version to use for his current run. Hardy made his original TNA debut all the way back in 2004 and came in with his own original song “Modest” as an entrance theme. Hardy has used a number of themes during his time there, and he still owns the rights to “Modest.”
Hardy spoke with Ropes N Riffs about entrance themes and more recently, and he noted he wants to bring back that original theme song for his singles bouts. You can see the highlights below:
On the Importance Of Entrance Themes:
“Well, it’s super important. I mean, that first sound of the theme that you hear, that’s when you know your favorite wrestlers coming out, or the most disliked wrestler is coming out. You know once you hear that first sound of the theme that it’s on, and it’s so important.”
On His TNA Entrance Themes:
“One thing about TNA that’s been very cool over the years, my last run in TNA — I think it was six years in a row, each year I had a new song at Bound for Glory. So, I thought that was super cool, and we did it like six years in a row. And it was all original stuff that I had written, and I really enjoyed that.
“I’m really wanting to bring back my first theme song for TNA. It was called ‘Modest.’ And that’s when I’d really first got into like writing music and lyrics and recording and all that stuff. So, I would love to do a new version of that song for my singles matches in TNA now, to use that instead of ‘Loaded’ when I come out with Matt.”
