Jim Ross Gives Update On AEW All Out Status

Jim Ross has confirmed he won’t be making his AEW commentary return at AEW All Out the way that he had hoped. The AEW commentator and WWE Hall of Famer confirmed that he won’t be working this weekend’s PPV on the latest episode of his Grilling JR podcast. Ross’ co-host Conrad Thompson said during the show that he won’t be making the show, noting (per F4W Online):
“The main event this weekend, it’s going to be Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley. I wish you were going to be under the headsets for this call. As I understand it, you’re going to be watching this one from home like I am.”
Ross confirmed the news and praised the card for the PPV, saying, “I’m proud of the team. You know, Chicago is such a great city. Nobody surpasses AEW in effort on these big events — nobody.”
JR has of course been dealing with various health issues over the past few years. He underwent brain surgery in August where he had a shunt put in, and noted last week that he had biopsies done on some moles on his back that his doctors found “concerning.”
AEW All Out takes place on Saturday from the Now Arena in Chicago, Illinois and airs live on PPV, HBO Max in the US, and MyAEW internationally.
On behalf of 411, our best wishes to Jim Ross amid his continued recovery.
