John Cena Praises Grayson Waller Return Promo From Last Night’s WWE NXT

Grayson Waller made his WWE NXT return last night, cutting a fiery promo, which has been receiving a lot of praise online. Another major name who praised Waller’s work from the show is former WWE Champion John Cena.

Commenting on Waller’s promo via social media, John Cena wrote, “Effort + Authenticity = Respect. It appears @GraysonWWE has found his WHY. Eager to see what he does. @WWENXT”

This could potentially serve as a fresh reset for Grayson Waller. However, it could also be a bad omen for the remainder of his WWE career. Some Superstars returned to NXT and underwent successful revamps before returning to the main roster, such as Finn Balor. However, other Superstars went back to NXT only to be cut or not have their contracts renewed later, including Baron Corbin, Ember Moon (aka Athena), Fandango, and Tyler Breeze.

During his promo, Waller expressed his frustrations about his main roster run, where he became a one-time WWE Tag Team Champion with Austin Theory as part of A-Town Down Under. He also took shots at the NXT men’s division, including new addition Cruz Montana (formerly Mike Santana). You can check out Cena’s comments and a video of Waller’s promo below:
