SICKOS! It’s Wednesday, you know what that means! AEW Dynamite is LIVE tonight from Orlando, Florida, and the card is stacked as always with some incredible action and some great promos and vignettes for us as per the norm!

Kenny Omega has his eyes on regaining the AEW Men’s World Title that he held many years ago, and to get there, he needs to win some matches, starting with a match against fellow Canadian and Don Callis Family member Josh Alexander. Other former AEW champions have their eyes on the prize in the form of Swerve Strickland and Samoa Joe, and tonight, both men face off with Jet Speed individually. Joe will face Speedball Mike Bailey, while Strickland goes one-on-one with Kevin Knight.

In what could be a babyface turn (or just a rare case of a heel-on-heel program) The Death Riders tandem of Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and Daniel Garcia will face Don Callis Family members Hechicero, Lance Archer, and Rocky Romero in a street fight. Speaking of people intertwined with the Callis Family, FTR will be in action, as they face Jordan Oliver and Alec Price, two guys who were publicly endorsed by our AEW Men’s World Heavyweight Champion MJF. And speaking of the Champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman will be LIVE in Orlando! What a swell guy he is, I tell you!

And on the women’s side of things, the reunited team of Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford will face the Timeless Love Bombs, that being Timeless Toni Storm and my future Ex-Wife Mina Shirakawa. We will also hear from the Triangle of Madness, as they will respond to the challenge issued by Kris Statlander and the Babes of Wrath last week. All of this and, of course, so much more in store for us tonight!

So, how is everyone on this Hump Day? I don’t have much to report on the personal or sports front over the past 24 hours. Although I will say that you will see me again on Saturday Night, when I cover Saturday Night’s Main Event for the masses!

So, enough about me, let’s get ready to make the Dynamite go BOOM!

Tonight, we are LIVE from the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida! Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Taz are on the call tonight!

Hey, you wanted War is back!

Schiavone is in the middle of the ring as we open up. He is here to introduce the AEW World Champion, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, MJF!

Tony says last week MJF successfully defended his title against Bandido.

But MJF wants him to shut his triple chin mouth, it’s bad enough he has to see all of these ugly people. Ladies and gentlemen, and he says that loosely, you are looking at a man who wears custom shoes, Burberry pants, Burberry shirts, and he has the baddest woman you will ever meet. And if you don’t believe him, then he’ll show you his Triple B, the ultimate prize, the AEW World Championship. Real diamonds and real platinum, this cost more than what you losers could ever wish to have in your bank account. So, if you see someone claiming that they are the best in the world, grab the remote, and change the channel, because what’s coming out of their mouth is coming out of their ass.

Bandido was the first man to find out last week that no one is worthy of being in the ring with him, and that no one is on the level of the Devil.

Brody King is here, and he probably objects to all of that shit. He gets into MJF’s face, as Tony gives him the mic and wishes him luck lol. King wants to be honest with him. After what you did to Bandido last week, all he could think about is all the way that he wants to hurt you. Nothing would bring him more joy that putting his fist through your chest and ripping out your spine. But he isn’t going to do that, because we all know you are a bitch. And if I put my hands on you, then I won’t get what I want. And what I want is a match, so he can knock his ass out, drop him on his head, and he wants that title shot tonight. WOOF!

MJF says he will stand over here lol. Interesting proposition from you there, Brody! Upon reflection, he’s thought about it long and hard, and he will have to say no. And he is NOT afraid of Brody, no no no no no no! You come out here and bark, and these idiots bark back. But when he thinks of Brody King, he thinks all bark and no bite. You challenge me to a title shot? On what grounds? Who have you beaten? Tomato cans. Jabronis. Jobbers. If you want to be on my level, you need to beat elite talent, and until that happens, this match will not take place. And I just want to make one more thing clear, if you ever interrupt the champ ever again, we will have a problem.

MJF steps to King but losses his words. He has to head out because he has a lot on his plate. LOL. King looks on as MJF takes his leave.

We cut to the announce team and we see The Human Suplex Machine for the first time in some good while. I wonder if that means Bryan Danielson won’t be on commentary now.

We see highlights from the events surrounding Samoa Joe, Hangman Adam Page, Swerve Strickland, and Jet Speed, culminating in new Trios Champions.

To the here and the now, as Renee has the new champions in the back. They want to decide on a team name. Kevin Knight thinks Jet Speed Rodeo would be good. Speedball like the Horse Cock Express. Except Hangman cut him off first lol. They pump up Bailey, as he’ll be facing Samoa Joe up next. Knight asks for advice about facing Strickland tonight, and Hangman offers up some vague and indirect advice. Remember, he IS frenemies with Swerve after all lol.

Here comes a not very happy Samoa Joe.

Samoa Joe vs. Speedball Mike Bailey

The bell rings, and Joe decides to roll out of the ring. He states off into the distance behind the announce desk, before getting back onto the apron. Joe re-enters the ring, and we get a lockout. Definitely do not believe this favors Bailey at all, and Joe proves that point as he rams Bailey into the corner. He hits headbutts in the corner and sets up Bailey against the ropes.

Speedball with a few strikes but eats that. He also eats two knee strikes from Bailey, but Speedball keeps kicking away at Joe and manages to dropkick him to the floor. Bailey wants the baseball slide, but Joe catches Bailey and removes ten layers of skin with a chop. Joe goes to charge Bailey, but Speedball catches Joe off guard and he follows that up with a moonsault to Joe on the floor. Katsuyori Shibata and Hook are here. Joe distracts Paul Turner so Shibata and Hook can stomp on Bailey. He gets returned to the ring as we head out for break.

Joe has Bailey cornered as we return. Joe whips Bailey but he eats a boot following up. Bailey to the top with a missile dropkick! Bailey with a litany of kicks. Bailey misses the running Shooting Star Press, but Joe misses his back splash. Bailey to the top again, SSP for real! The cover, 2.5!

Joe to the apron, so Bailey follows. Bailey with kicks, Joe with chops and a headbutt. He goes to suplex Baley, but Mike ends up in the ring. Joe gets tripped up Bailey, but he misses the standing SSP. Joe takes Turner so Shibata can hit a suplex on the apron and another one on the floor. He throws Bailey into the ring, and I question where the hell Knight is.

Joe mockingly claps for Bailey. Speedball tries to chop Joe down, but Joe with a sit-down knee breaker. Joe applies a knee bar, but Bailey makes it to the ropes. Joe mocks Bailey and hits him with a straight punch. LET’S GO HORSE COCK chants LMAO. Bailey catches Joe’s kick, but Joe turns it into another knee bar. Bailey once more makes it to the bottom rope.

Joe toying with Bailey now, as he kicks out the legs of Bailey not once, not twice, but thrice. But on the third time Bailey keeps his course and does the Crane pose and kick! Another kick from Bailey floors Joe and leads to a two. Bailey is feeling it and hits the Time and Adventure! The Opps are on the apron again; Bailey misses his attack but rolls up Joe for a two. Joe with the Coquina Clutch, but Bailey leans back to pin Joe for a two. Another kick from Bailey and yet AGAIN the Opps are on the apron. Muscle Buster from Joe finishes it.
WINNER: Samoa Joe

THOUGHTS: Joe got his win back after the Opps lost the Trio’s Titles on Saturday, but Holy Interference Batman. Clever game of cat and mouse and overconfidence from Joe, however.

The Death Riders (Garcia, Yuta, and Moxley) W/Marina vs. The Don Callis Family (Archer, Romero, and Hechicero)

The Death Riders meet the DCF in the aisle as the bell rings. Moxley fights with Archer into the crowd, while Yuta and Hechicero fight in the aisle. Garcia took care of Romero, so he comes over to help Yuta neutralize Hechicero. Garcia applies an ankle lock to Hechicero, while Moxley and Archer fight back to the ring side area. Hechicero taps out, but no one saw it, apparently. FUCK DON CALLIS chants, as it expected.

Moxley and Archer in the ring now, as Jon lands punches on Lance in the corner. The Death Riders proceed to run train on Archer. Lance grabs Moxley and Garcia for a double goozle, but Yuta dropkicks Archer, and all three guys send Lance from the ring. On the floor, Yuta eats a chokeslam from Archer into the timekeeper’s area. All three members of the DCF gang up on Garcia and Moxley as we head out for break.

Everyone is fighting everyone in the ring as we return. Well, except for Yuta, as he is still dead on the outside. Garcia gets triple dropkicked by the DCF while he is inside a trash can. That leaves all three guys and Moxley, who welcomes the challenge and attempts to fight back before he gets beaten down. Romero sets up a trash can in front of Hechicero in the corner, but Moxley throws the can in the face of Hechicero and clotheslines Romero out of the ring.

Moxley and Archer throw hands, but Archer wins that battle and drops Moxley to the mat. Archer goes outside and introduces another table that he sets up in the corner. Shafir is in the ring! Archer laughs and goozles her, but joke is on him, as Marina throws on a triangle choke while slapping Archer lol. Moxley with a cutter to Archer. He lines up Archer against the table, but Archer moves and Moxley throws on the breaks. Archer picks up Moxley and runs him through the table.

Garcia is back; he foolishly tries to goozle Archer. He slaps him instead, but Yuta is back with a Busaiku Knee. Another one to Archer combined with a back trip by Yuta sends him from the match. Hechicero and Romero are back with stereo octopus stretches to Yuta and Garcia. Moxley is alive again, as he hits a double DDT to Hechicero and Romero. Moxley goes under the ring, and he finds the barbwire and broken glass covered table!

Romero looks to eat it, but Rocky throws on a guillotine. Moxley fights him off, but Archer is back and he chokeslams Moxley into the glass and barbwire! The cover, but Yuta and Garcia break it up. Archer and Yuta fight up the ramp. Archer looks to chokeslam Yuta off the stage, but here comes PAC on crutches! He smashes Archer in the back with one, and he falls to the floor. Here comes Claudio, as he grabs the crutch and smashes it over the head of Archer. Lance gets thrown into the audio box.

Hechciero goes up the ramp to help out, but Marina from behind and she hits a low blow. That leads to another Busaiku Knee from Yuta. Romero in the ring is put in the Bulldog Choke by Moxley. He won’t give up just yet, so Yuta stomps Romero’s head into the mat. Garcia applies the Dragon Tamer and Romero taps out.
WINNER: The Death Riders
TIME: 15:30
THOUGHTS: A fun brawl, although I question why the Don Callis C-Team got in as much as they did here. It’ll be interesting to see how this story continues to unfold, and if people will actually cheer Yuta now lol.
RATING: ***1/2

Post-match, Marina gives Moxley a mic, as Yuta and Garcia stop by and hover over Callis. Moxley says when your boy is ready, tell him I’ll be waiting.

The Triangle of Madness are in the back. Thekla notes that Kris Statlander hands out title shots to everyone else, but when she pins Kris, she asks her what she will do about it. Thekla will give her one week to live and be with her family, before she takes care of her stupid alien ass. Next week, she wants her title shot. Julia Hart says if she recalls correctly, she never got her TBS Title rematch when she lost to Willow, so she wants it. Skye Blue says this is the year of sin (and how right she is), and Thekla spits on the cameraman. Lucky dude.

Alec Price and Jordan Oliver make their entrance. But their fanfare is cut off by Stoke at ring side. He hopes that Davis and Doyle are watching, because this is what they are in for next week. He also wants the fans to visit Helpbigstoke.com because he is still injured lol.

FTR vs. Alec Price and Jordan Oliver

Oliver and Wheeler to start. Cash takes him down to the mat and says not tonight. Back to their feet, and Wheeler with a shoulder tackle. And another one. And a third attempt, but Oliver with a standing crossbody. Wheeler catches him, but Oliver rolls him up for a two. Oliver with the dropkick party for Wheeler and Harwood, who decides to enter the ring because he can.

Price enters the ring, as he and Oliver fly out with Topes to both members of FTR. They return FTR to the ring, and Oliver with a stomp from the top rope. The cover for a two. Price gets the tag, but FTR isolate him in their corner. Harwood with strikes and uppercuts to Price in the corner. Price jumps over Harwood and there is a blind tag. Price and Oliver hit double team offense on FTR. Roll-up from Oliver on Harwood for a two. Another one for another two. Harwood says enough as he hits a short arm lariat to Price and he beats up on Oliver in the corner.

Dax puts Jordan on the top rope and slaps away on him. Price sneaks in and cuts off Wheeler with a superplex, and Oliver reverses Dax’s superplex with a crossbody. Price to the outside, but Wheeler is back, and Price gets dropped to the floor. In the ring, FTR set up the Shatter Machine on Oliver and that’ll do it.
WINNER: FTR

THOUGHTS: No surprise about the winner. I was surprised that FTR were as giving as they were, though, and I look forward to what Alec and Jordan do from here.

Kris Statlander and the Babes of Wrath are in the back. Kris thinks Thekla doesn’t understand what makes her tick. There is more underneath than just her alien alure, so if you want to poison her, try it, because she will take you down. Willow Nightingale says Julia wants her rematch for the TBS Title, that’s fine. Just remember that the light always overcomes the darkness. Harley Cameron says she will be there to do…well, she forgot what she is there to do LOL. Kris says they have all the titles that you want.

Kenny Omega vs. Josh Alexander

Kenny Omega is here with all the fanfare, but Josh Alexander attacks him from behind! Alexander takes him around ring side, and he chokes him with his towel. He rips up a part of the mat on the floor, but Omega isn’t going for that, brother. He enters the ring and hits a crossbody block to Alexander. He returns Josh to the ring and the bell rings officially. Omega pins Alexander for a two.

He sends Alexander from the ring, and the Terminator Pose is upon us. Omega goes to fly, but Alexander gets up on the apron and hangs up Omega on the top rope. Josh pulls Kenny to the apron and hits a side suplex on the apron as we head out for break.

Alexander and Omega are trading shots as we return. Josh shuts that down and picks up Kenny. He launches him from the torture rack and pins him, but Omega gets his foot on the bottom rope. Alexander grabs Omega’s hands, taunts him, and hits a version of his own V-Trigger. Alexander carries Omega to the top on his shoulders, and he hits an Avalanche Plunge!

Both guys end up on the floor, as Josh wants to revisit the exposed floor. Omega fights it off and reverses Alexander, and he hits a low angle German onto the concrete. Omega back in the ring and the Terminator Pose is successful this time, as he flies over the top and hits the Senton onto Alexander. Omega returns Alexander to the ring and goes to the top rope. He catches an unaware Alexander from behind with a missile dropkick. The neck breaker follows for a two.

Omega walks around a bit and then teases the V-Trigger, but Alexander catches him with an enziguri. Josh suplexes both himself and Omega over the top rope, off the apron, and down to the floor. Callis asks if Kenny is okay and he gets up to check on him. Interesting. Despite Alexander hitting the suplex on Omega, Kenny is the first man to his feet. A hockey fight breaks out between both men (quite apropos), and Omega slams the face of Alexander off the announce table. Omega turns his attention to Callis, who drops the headset and runs off lol.

Omega comes back to the ring, but Alexander catches Omega in the ankle lock on the apron. Alexander pulls Omega up onto the apron and hits a dragon screw to Omega between the ropes. Josh takes off and hits his running crossbody block to the back of Kenny, sending him down to the floor. Callis is back, as Alexander goes over and celebrates with him.

Alexander returns to the ring, but Omega is waiting with the V-Trigger! Another V-Trigger and a Poison Rana follow. Omega picks up Alexander and hits the One-Winged Angel for the win!
WINNER: Kenny Omega

THOUGHTS: A great match between two great wrestlers. Omega wasn’t losing, since the story is the arc for him to find his way back to the AEW World Title. Alexander was game though.
RATING: ****

Post-match, Kenny has the mic. Uncle Don! He will give him credit, seeing as to how he struck while the iron was hot, while he was at his weakest. But, in his new home of Orlando, because he does live here, he hasn’t felt this good in years! You don’t have ONE member on your roster that can beat me. So, quit while you are ahead and lick your wounds, while I go for the AEW World Title. I want to talk your ears off, but I will be going. It’s time for Goddesses and Timeless Love Bombs!

Timeless Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa vs. Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford

Storm and Mina hit the ring and try to go on the attack, but Ford and Bayne have other ideas. A double whip, however, leads to a meeting on the minds between Megan and Penelope. Storm uses Mina and slams her on Bayne, but that only gets a one count.

Mina trips up Bayne, Storm with a leg drop, and Mina with her springboard splash gets a two on Bayne. They try to send Megan off, but she won’t budge. They kick her and try again, but she comes back with a lariat to Mina and a Fallaway Slam to Storm. Bayne picks Mina up on her shoulders and throws her out of the ring and on to Storm. It does look like Mina got thrown over Storm on the replay. I’ll be back guys, she needs my attention, someone else needs to take over.

Megan proves she is an equal opportunity human javelin thrower when she throws Ford out of the ring and onto Mina and Toni. They post on the ring apron as we head out for break.

Ford does the Matrix, puts her legs around Mina (giggity), and Bayne hits a lariat to Mina as we return. After all of that, Mina kicks out at tow. Storm screams I hate you at Megan, which distracts her enough for Mina to try and get the tag. Try is the operative word, as Megan hits a German. Mina seems to roll through, though, and she hits a missile dropkick from the top to Bayne.

Ford and Storm get the tags for their teams, and Storm hits some dropkicks. It’s Snapmare City for Ford now, and she hits a German on Ford. Storm decks Bayne and hits the hip attack on Ford in their corner. Mina gets the tag and goes to the top, but Megan enters the ring and shoves Toni into Mina.

Mina and Toni regroup though and take Bayne and Ford off the apron with a double hip attack. Mina to the outside, as she hits a crossbody onto both Ford and Bayne. Ford is returned to the ring, and Mina from the top with a sling blade. Bayne is back and she boots Mina in the face. Ford with the cover, but Storm saves the match.

Mina fights back and goes to put the Figure-Four on Ford, but Bayne hits a flying lariat to Mina. Bayne picks up Mina onto her shoulders, Ford to the top rope, Doomsday Device follows. Marina Shafir is here and she puts Storm in the Mother’s Milk to prevent her from making the save, as Ford pins Mina to win it for her team.
WINNERS: Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford
TIME: 10:50
THOUGHTS: Disappointment about Mina not only losing but getting pinned aside, this was a fairly good match. There was the obvious botch where Bayne threw Mina out of the ring and either she threw her too far or Storm wasn’t in position to catch her, but it was still a solid effort.
RATING: ***1/4

We get a video package for Roderick Strong, as he defeated Hechicero to become the #1 contender to Claudio Castagnoli and his CMLL World Title.

Excalibur runs down the matches for Collision and for Dynamite next week. Our main even is coming up next.

Swerve Strickland W/George Nana vs. Kevin Knight

The bell rings, and Taz says he hates both of these guys lol. Knight takes Strickland to the corner, but Strickland back to center and he takes Knight to the mat. Big Beal incoming from Strickland. Another lockup, Strickland with wrist control, and he takes Knight down to the mat. Knight manages to roll through, however, and words are traded.

Knight with a leapfrog and an arm drag to Strickland. Swerve to his feet, and Knight sends him out and to the floor. Knight goes for a baseball slide, but Strickland gets out of dodge. He thinks he is out of range, until he gets Knight flying over the top and taking him out. Back in the ring, and Knight mocks Strickland’s dance. That enrages Swerve, who grabs him by the fingers and takes him to the corner. He sits him on the top rope and slaps Knight out of the ring and to the floor.

Strickland grabs Knight and takes him up the ring steps. It looked like Strickland wanted to hit a piledriver, but Knight with a back body drop, and Strickland crashes to the floor. Knight follows up with a missile dropkick from the steps as that will take us to what should be our last commercial break.

Knight and Strickland trade shots in the middle of the ring as we return. Swerve wins out and whips Knight into the corner. He snatches Knight up and hits a backbreaker. Strickland to the middle rope and he hits the flying elbow to the back. Strickland does his dance proper and then shots a three from downtown.

Swerve for a Boston Crab variation, but Knight fights him off. Knight with some slaps, and Strickland implores him to hit him some more. Knight suckers Strickland in and hits a back body drop. Both men to their feet, Knight avoids a Swerve kick, he lands some elbows and hits a jumping clothesline.

Knight with a scoop slam to Swerve, but his standing splash misses. Rolling Flatliner connects from Swerve. Nobody was home on the house call, however, and Knight hits the running splash this time for a two. Swerve turns the tables and puts Knight on the top rope. Knight avoids his attack and he slips out. He looks for a sunset flip powerbomb which he eventually hits on second effort. Roll through DDT by Knight for a two.

Strickland to the apron, Knight looks for the jumping DDT again, but Strickland catches him and hits a DVD on the apron. Strickland contemplates returning Knight to the ring, but he instead takes him to the barricade. They get onto the barricade, and Swerve hits a piledriver on the wall!

Swerve returns to the ring and is content to take the count out victory. Knight does make it back in at the count of nine however, and Strickland greets him with a 450 Splash to the back. Strickland with a Dragon Sleeper. Knight eventually breaks free, so Strickland puts him on the top rope.

Knight escapes the grasp of Strickland and lands on the apron. He springboards back in and hits a Rana from the top rope! Knight to the top rope as Strickland goes to the corner, and Kevin hits the Coast-to-Coast dropkick! UFO Splash from Knight! The cover, but Strickland grabs the ropes.

In a bit of mind games, Knight hits the House Call to Strickland! A pin for another two. Knight and Strickland make it to their feet and crisscross, but Strickland catches Knight with a House Call! Vertebreaker from Strickland! He’s still not done, as he hits Big Pressure and finally keeps Knight down!
WINNER: Swerve Strickland
TIME: 17:10
THOUGHTS: The prophecy was true; this was a damn Briscoe. A fantastic main event, and it makes you want to see Knight get a big singles run sooner rather than later.
RATING: ****1/2

Nana dances and Strickland grimaces post-match. And with that, we are done!
