Keep Refreshing For The Latest Results

SICKOS! It’s Wednesday, you know what that means! AEW Dynamite is LIVE tonight from the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park, Texas! And tonight, we will have title matches and matches with possible title implications on tap!

After months of teasing, building, and crossing paths, Thekla and Kris Statlander will finally throwdown in a match for Stat Daddy’s AEW Women’s World Title. Will the Toxic Spider put an end to Kris’ title reign, or will the sentient Alien being prevail and continue her title reign? The Don Callis Family will be busy pursuing titles tonight, as El Clon will challenge Mark Briscoe for his TNT Title, while the newly minted team of Jake Doyle and Mark Davis will challenge 7-Star FTR for their AEW Men’s World Tag Team Titles.

In another AEW Continental Title Eliminator, Champion Jon Moxley will face Ace Austin, and if Austin wins or survives twenty minutes with the champion, he will receive a future title shot. In a match that would main event around the world, Swerve Strickland will face Andrade El Idolo, while Kenny Omega continues his quest to not only knock off Don Callis Family members (this time Rocky Romero), but in hopes of continuing his pursuit of the AEW Men’s World Heavyweight Title. Speaking of said title, the holder of the Triple B, Maxwell Jacob Freidman, will be there live and in person. How fetching for the champion. All of that and, of course, so much more in store for us tonight!

So, how is everyone on this Hump Day? I mentioned this last night during my NXT live coverage/report that this year, I was honored to partake in the Voice of Wrestling’s 2025 Match of the Year countdown. Alongside fellow 411Mania writer (and AEW Duelist) Theo Sambus, we provided our ballots for the seminal countdown spanning this week and ending on Friday with the top 10 matches. So far, through leading up to the top 50, I have seen four of my ten matches appear, so that means that the sinister six will be in the top 50, so yay! So, it would me a lot to me if you guys check it out, and if you have been following along, I appreciate it! And I am sure that Theo also appreciates it, too!

The link is here: match of the year!

So, enough about me and enough about you, let’s get ready to make the Dynamite go BOOM!

Tonight, Dynamite is LIVE from Deep in the Heart of Texas (Kind of, I guess)! Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Taz are on the call tonight!

Kenny Omega is going to kick stuff off for us tonight! Oh damn, Rocky Romero doesn’t even get an introduction lol.

Kenny Omega vs. Rocky Romero

Romero thinks he is cool attacking Omega at the bell. He stops to celebrate and pays for it as Omega throws him into the corner and hammers him down. He chucks Romero from the ring and then hits a baseball slide. Omega interacts with the fans at ring side before getting back into the ring.

Omega off the ropes and he hits a Kitaro Crusher. Rocky is in the crosshairs of a V-Trigger, but Romero escapes to the floor. Omega heads to the floor, but Romero gets back into the ring. Romero uses Rick Knox as a distraction and kicks Omega in the gut. Omega turns the tides, but a low dropkick from Romero gets him a two. Rocky starts the forever clotheslines, but they truly do not last forever, as Omega puts a stop to them.

Omega sizes up Romero, but Rocky fights free. Sliced Bred #2 from Romero, Omega avoids it, but Romero hits an enziguri. Romero celebrates with his soccer pose, but Omega smacks him one from behind lol. Snap Dragon from Omega, here comes the V-Trigger proper! Omega with the One-Winged Angel, and that’s game!
WINNER: Kenny Omega
TIME: 3:45
THOUGHTS: We knew Kenny wasn’t, but damn they couldn’t even give Rocky an entrance? That’s cold lol.
RATING: **3/4

Post-match, Tony Skeeeeeevone is in the ring with a mic. He congratulates Omega on the win, and he wants the fans to give it up for him. He is one of the top four contenders in the world title scene. Hangman Adam Page is there, Samoa Joe is there, and the winner of tonight’s Andrade-Swerve match will face Kenny next week in Las Vegas!

Kenny hates repeating himself, but he hasn’t felt this good in years. AEW is the place where the best are supposed to wrestle. And if he didn’t feel like he was at the top, he wouldn’t stake a claim for MJF’s title. Whether it’s someone that I hate (Don Callis and his family members) or if it’s someone that he loves, it is just business, and he will be the new World Champion.

Hangman Adam Page is here. Arilyn, rejoice! Huh, Kenny, you look good. I, um, I look, truth be told, after all these years, I would rather be fighting beside you and not against you. But, BUT, with the world title at stake, then so be it. He made the mistake as champion at looking past the Opps, and he wanted to defend the title against you, Kenny, but because of Hook and a kick to the balls from MJF, he is no longer the Champion. And for as much fire and desire that you have, you will not be the next world champion. Neither will Swerve or Andrade. The next World Champion is going to be Hangman Adam Page.

WHOSE HOUSE? Swerve and Prince Nana are here. He doesn’t want to sound like a broken record, but he hasn’t lost since he came back. He wasn’t the one who got pinned in that four-way match. So, he has as much of a stake in this as anyone else. And as the Most Dangerous man in AEW, he doesn’t care who he has to stomp out to get it. It can mean anyone, and I mean, anybody.

Omega says he fancies himself at being pretty astute at reading the room. But he feels like there is a little animosity here. And for as much as he wants that belt, it sounds like you are looking for a fight.

Swerve laughs and say, oh, Kenny, more than you know!

I HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO SAY! Don Callis is here! He has heard Swerve say he is undefeated, but you won’t have much time until Andrade pins you tonight and ends that streak. And Kenny, when Andrade beats Swerve, he is coming for you. And Hangman, I haven’t forgotten about you. I have something special in store for you. And for all of you who thought you could get involved. You will learn that the Don Callis Family runs this show!

Kenny’s music plays, but he says to cut it. He tells Don that he has been worried about everything except for what he should be, and that is him. He drops the mic and chases Callis to the back. Everyone else casually leaves the ring.

Excalibur runs down the matches for tonight. We get a video package for tonight’s Kris Statlander and Thekla Women’s Title match.

Here comes the man who rides death.

AEW Continental Title Eliminator: Jon Moxley vs. Ace Austin

The bell rings, and Moxley straight kicks Austin in the face lol. Moxley corners Ace and hits some chops. Moxley mounts Austin in the corner and delivers the punches. Moxley backs off, Austin tries some chops, but Moxley cuts that down. Austin does manage a headlock takedown followed by a crucifix pin for a two.

Austin wants to exchange chops with Moxley. Me thinks that is not a good strategy. Kicks and forearms from Ace do better, but Moxley still negates them. Moxley sends Austin to the apron, but Ace makes his way back in. Casadora and Austin sends Moxley to the floor.

Austin pulls some apron gymnastics, but he strikes Moxley with an apron PK. Austin looks to fly, but Moxley backs off behind the announce table as we hit the break.

Austin has a submission on Moxley as we return. Moxley sits back and gets a two count on the reversal. Moxley sits Austin on the top rope, he heads up, and he gives Austin a nice back scratch. Jon with the Superplex to follow. Moxley to his feet, off the ropes, but Austin with a clothesline. Ace with a leg lariat followed by a leg drop. Moxley to the corner, and here comes Austin with corner clotheslines. Austin off the ropes, but Moxley shuts it down with a lariat.

Moxley looks to pick up Austin, Austin tries a stack, Moxley counters, Austin counters all for two. We’re back to a strike battle, but Austin switches to a roundhouse kick. Double knee stomp from Austin! The cover, Moxley kicks at two.

Both men to their feet, as Moxley and Austin trade knees and kicks. Austin off the ropes, flying enziguri for a two. The Fold from Austin, but Moxley counters with a CUTTER! The Death Rider finishes it!
WINNER: Jon Moxley
TIME: 10:05
THOUGHTS: Austin may have missed out last week due to travel issues, but he had a good showing here. Moxley proved to be too much for him, however, which was to be expected.
RATING: ***1/4

Post-match, Konosuke Takeshita storms down to the ring. He gets into Moxley’s face, they have some words, Excalibur does some lip reading. Takeshita leaves the ring, and here comes Davis and Doyle! They attack Moxley, as Takeshita turns his back and leaves.

The TNT Title will be defended next!

The bell rings, as both men jockey for position. Big running elbow from Clon, but Briscoe kicks out at two. Clon stalks Briscoe to the corner and chops him. Clon follows Briscoe across the ring, but Mark sends Clon from the ring. He slams Clon’s face off the announce table and then throws a chair into the ring.

Briscoe sets up the chair, but Clon is back. He picks the chair up, folds it up, and tries to tattoo Briscoe with it, but he misses. Clon with a spinning kick, but Briscoe with a lariat. Clon ends up on the floor once more, and Mark follows with a suicide dive! Marks heads back into the ring, he grabs Clon and tries to drag him into the ring, but Clon catches him in the ring skirt. He hits a running knee to the head of Briscoe as we hit the break.

Clone has Briscoe cornered and he lands strikes as we return. To the other corner we go for more of a beating. Sweet kick off the top rope into a moonsault from Clon, but it’s just a two. Clon heads to the top, but Briscoe crotches him and drops him from the top and to the floor. Mark gets a head of steam, and he hits a Senton through the ropes!

DEM BOYS chants as Briscoe returns Clon to the ring, but he runs into a knee strike. Briscoe fires back with jabs, but they collide on a kick and punch exchange. They further collide in a lariat exchange.

Both men are back to their feet. Briscoe with strikes, Clon asks for more, so Mark obliges. Clon hits back, but Briscoe with a T-Bone suplex! Corner lariat from Briscoe leads to a Brain Buster! Mark to the top, and he’s feeling Froggy, but Clon kicks out at two. Mark looking Jay Driller, BUT CLON ABSORBS IT AND LANDS ON HIS FEET! Holy shit!

Clon sends a stunned Briscoe out to the apron and to the floor. Clon with a moonsault from the apron to Briscoe. Mark is returned to the ring, Clon to the top rope, Double Stomp connects! Clon looking for a driver, but Briscoe fights out of it. Clon tries the Portal Bomb, but Mark slides out and rolls up Clon for the retention!
WINNER: Mark Briscoe (Still Champion)
TIME: 11:15
THOUGHTS: That was really good. El Clon was convincing here, and it felt like Briscoe lucked out in the bottom of the ninth to retain his title. More of El Clon in competitive matches, please!
RATING: ***3/4

Briscoe has the mic after the match. Texas, say HELL YEAH! Now, here’s the thang, I told you from the beginning, he isn’t ducking, he isn’t dodging, he is reigning and defending, and he will be back in by gawd Texas next week. And he loves the concept of the TNT Open Challenge. One asterisk, though, no one from the Don Callis Family. I am getting sick of you. Anyone else, Saturday Night, TNT Title on the line, who wants it?

The lights go out, and we see a video of a heart beating with veins on the screen. Music plays, and TOMMASO CIAMPA is here! Briscoe has a look somewhere between confusion and concern lol. Ciampa hits the ring and soaks in the response. Ciampa enters the ring, he circles with Mark as we get HOLY SHIT chants. They come face-to-face. Briscoe raises his title, Ciampa stares at it and then kisses Briscoe on the cheek. Ciampa stands on the announce table and then heads around the ring and up the ramp. Briscoe is jiving with his theme song lol.

We’ll hear from our esteemed champion next!

COMMERCIALS!

The Remarkable Renee Paquette is here post-break. She welcomes in Kyle Fletcher. Renee says that you have been requested by Kazuchika Okada. Okada says that you said you had something to say, but Okada does too. When he hid the screwdriver at World’s End, he wanted to use it so he could win. He wanted to keep the Continental Title in the Don Callis Family, and he did not mean to screw Kyle over. He is sorry.

Kyle says he was very angry with Okada after the fact, but it takes a big man to admit when he is wrong. He accepts his appology.

They shake hands, Kyle leaves, and Okada has this conniving look on his face.

The Champ is here! Cut my music, cut my music. He has a question for Taz, why are they in this dump? When the champ talks, you idiots listen.

Brody King is here! Maxwell tells them to cut his music and tells the fans to stop barking. He thinks with ears as big as King has he wouldn’t be so deaf and so stupid. King gets on the apron, but Maxwell leaves the ring. He wants Brody to be professional. That’s rich lol.

BRODY chants as MJF gets back in the ring. Listen up, Bark Boy, last week, I made it very clear last week that if you want a shot at my title, you have to beat someone important. And yet you’re here following him around like a lost puppy. But that makes sense, since you followed Malakai Black. MJF says it really “spooked him out” when they turned the lights on and off. Then you followed around Buddy Matthews. How is hie ankle, by the way? Then you follow around a loser like Bandido. Maybe you should follow me around! You’re big, you’re tall, I’ll pay you well. But the aesthetic has to change, because for being such a liberal man, you sure look like Nazi. This is just a pipe dream for you, Brody. The truth is that you need to be a leader like me. And you my friend, like these schmucks, are nothing but a follower.

King finally gets to talk. First of all, he doesn’t have to follow anyone. What you described are friends, something you have never had in your life. Last week you said I haven’t beaten anyone credible to challenge for your title, and you’re right. So, Brody sat down with Tony Khan, and they talked about who would be a good challenger. And they decided on MJF!

Max: Huh?

Brody says follow me here, they will have an eliminator next week, and if King wins, he will get a title shot at Grand Slam Australia. And then, King will be the leader that the company needs! ARF!

King slaps MJF on the shoulder and leaves the ring. MJF looks concerned, as he should be.

Video package for the Young Bucks. They needed some humility. Power trips take you nowhere. Now, they are going back to their roots. Tassels. Superkick parties. The entire tag team division has been put on notice, starting next week in Las Vegas. The tag division has cordially been invited to a Superkick Party!

The Dapper Yapper is here to yap, ere I mean introduce the next match!

AEW Women’s World Title Match: Kris Statlander (C) vs. Thekla

The bell rings, and Thekla wants a handshake. Interesting. Statlander cautiously approached, but Thekla does the Vulcan V and slaps Statlander. Kris moves, but Thekla escapes to the floor for a bit. She gets back into the ring, Kris sends Thekla off, but she spider webs in the middle of the ring. Kris slides out underneath her, but she hangs up Thekla in the middle rope, causing her to crash to the floor.

Statlander picks up Thekla and puts her up for a delayed vertical suplex. Statlander rolls into the ring and right back out to break the count. Thekla tries to kick Statlander, but Kris catches her leg, does a double leg, and launches Thekla into the ring steps.

She returns Thekla to the ring, Statlander on the apron, she poses for the crowd, but Thekla is back to her feet, and she hits Kris with a knee to the head. Thekla heads out to the apron, and she hits a double stomp onto a downed Statlander. That will take us to break.

Statlander sits Thekla on the top rope as we return. That backfires when Thekla does the tarantula. But maybe Kris did know what she was doing, as she keeps ahold of Thekla and chucks her into the corner face first. Whip from Kris, running lariat, big knee, and the Falcon Arrow! She did the deal, Thekla kicks out at two. Statlander has Thekla up, but the Spider ends up on the apron, where she kicks Kris in the head.

Thekla to the top, Kris moves and she hits a running lariat! Kris pulls Thekla over to the corner, she goes to the top rope, but Thekla back to her feet and she smacks Kris in the face. Thekla ascends to the top, yells HERE WE GO CHAMP, and she hits a forearm. Thekla with the Spider Suplex! Thekla pulls herself back up to the top rope and hits a crossbody to Statlander on the floor!

Thekla returns Statlander to the ring, but she kicks out at two. Statlander responds with a big boot, but Thekla with a SPEAR! Both ladies get back to their feet and trade some shots. Thekla spits on Statlander, and she baits her inro a head scissor submission. She lets go, snaps back the arm of Statlander and then stomps on her, yet Kris kicks out at two.

Thekla has entered spider mode! She runs into a thrust kick from Kris, though! Staturday Night Fever, but Thekla rolls her up for a two. Statlander charges, but Thekla moves. Kris intercepts another SPEAR with a gut wrench powerbomb, and Staturday Night Fever finishes it proper.
WINNER: Kris Statlander (Still Champion)
TIME: 11:40
THOUGHTS: Is it too much to ask for more of this? Seriously, the weeks and months of anticipation and build toward this match, and it paid off in a big way. I surely can hope they do this again pretty soon!
RATING: ****

Post-match, Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron are here to join in the celebration. We see Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford appear on the stage, as they stare down the champions in the ring.

To the back we go with Don Callis. He has Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita with him. It is time to mobilize and bring more gold to the family. Andrade is going to win tonight, and then he is bringing the World Title to the Family. He knows Takeshita can bring the Continental Title back to the family, but a word of advice, you should forgive Okada like Kyle did. And Kyle, you are synonymous with the TNT Title, and whenever Ciampa and Briscoe are done, Fletcher will win it back. And finally, Davis and Doyle are bringing tag team gold to the Family when they smash FTR.

Callis walks away, Takeshita turns to Fletcher, and says you forgave Okada? Fletcher tries to plead his case, but Takeshita walks away dejected.

COMMERCIALS!

We return to a video package featuring Ricochet, Jack Perry, his dinosaur getting injured, and pretty Ricky’s title. Earlier today, Ricky has his phone and he wants to speak to us. The 1930’s Circus Strong Men are here!

AEW Men’s Tag Team Titles Match: FTR W/Big Stoke (C) vs. Davis and Doyle

Taz is very concerned about Big Stoke as he is wheeled to ring side to watch the match. Doyle and Wheeler will start us off. Wheeler with a side headlock, Doyle sends him off, Wheeler’s shoulder tackle doesn’t work, but Doyle’s does. As does the next one. And the following one. And the last one.

Davis gets the tag, and they hit a double shoulder block to Wheeler. Cash is able to drive Davis to his corner and Dax Harwood gets the tag. Harwood runs into a brick wall, and the wall slaps Harwood to the mat. Davis with chops and he screams like a primal beast. Harwood responds with chops, but Davis with a lariat and a back splash. Harwood to the floor, Davis and Doyle approach. Wheeler goes to fly, but they catch him and they chuck Wheeler into Harwood. They do muscle man poses as we hit the break.

Harwood and Davis are trying to kill each other via chop as we return. Davis eats Dax’s clotheslines, though, and Davis with an enziguri. Davis with a lariat to Harwood, here comes Wheeler and Doyle. Wheeler catches Doyle, but Davis runs him over to. They stake up FTR in the corner, as Davis and Doyle take turns running them over in the corner.

Doyle sits Dax on the top rope, but here comes Wheeler to cut that off. They end up on the floor, and here comes Davis to take over. Harwood with an avalanche back suplex followed by a splash from Wheeler! The cover, Davis kicks at two. Stoke things that Excalibur and Paul Turner have glicoma lol.

Davis has Harwood in a sleeper, Dax tries to back him into the corner, but Davis holds on the hold. The Death Riders are here! Davis gets cracked in the head with one of the tag team titles, and the Shatter Machine wins it for the champions.
WINNERS: FTR (Still Champions)
TIME: 9:25
THOUGHTS: A fun big man battle, and Davis and Doyle got a lot of time to shine. However, actions have consequences, and since Davis and Doyle attacked Moxley early, Jon would have his revenge.
RATING: ***1/2

In the back, Renee Paquette has Orange Cassidy. She wants to talk about Wheeler Yuta. Cassidy says look at him five years ago and look at him now. His hair is too long. Yuta arrives and says is that what it has come to, insults? Marina Shafir is here and she grabs OC by the hair, but Timeless Toni Storm cuts her off. Marina wonders if Toni has had enough of the Mother’s Milk, and security are here to keep everyone apart while Renee corpses.

COMMERCIALS!

Most Dangerous works for Swerve, you know?

Swerve Strickland vs. Andrade El Idolo

Andrade is keeping the pants on! The bell rings and both men trade early on. A show of acrobatics takes place, as both men cartwheel out of attacks. Andrade avoids the House Call, and Swerve lets him know he was THIS close. A-E-DUB chants. Andrade with chops, but a reversal by Swerve. he heads to the top, Andrade wants him to attack, so Swerve jumps down and grabs Andrade’s legs.

Strickland and Andrade end up on the ropes, and Strickland with a snap Rana, sending Andrade to the floor. Swerve to the outside, but Andrade turns the tables and he slams Strickland into the ring steps. Andrade, like last week on Collision, sees a female fan at ringside. He approaches that baddie and he takes a selfie with her. She kisses a napkin and gives it to Andrade, and Callis says don’t take that from her lol. That’ll take us to break.

Strickland gets dropped on the apron as we return. He tries to springboard back in, but Andrade with an anti-air forearm. Andrade up and over with a Tornio! E-DO-LOW chants from the fans. Andrade with the moonsault, but much like his ex-wife, he lands on his feet and hits a standing variation instead for a two.

Swerve takes a minute to fix his hair before throwing Andrade back into the ring. Swerve drags him back out of the ring and brings him up onto the barricade. Strickland’s next move is countered by Andrade, who drops him with a back body drop onto the wall.

Both men are down on the floor, as Aubrey counts them out. At the count of nine, they both slide back into the ring. They get to their feet and start trading shots. Andrade takes control, looking for the DM, but Strickland fights him off. Andrade feeds his leg to Strickland, who takes it, but he also takes a back elbow. That’s a two count.

Andrade looking DM again but Swerve with a double leg into a pin for a two. Big Pressure is countered, Andrade misses his back elbow, but he grabs Aubrey to distract her so he can kick Strickland in the dick! Another DM from Andrade, and this time, it keeps Swerve down!
WINNER: Andrade El Idolo
TIME: 14:45
THOUGHTS: Fantastic main event between two awesome wrestlers. Ordinarily, I would complain about the shortcut that Andrade took to win the match but considering that he had hit Swerve with his best before then and still didn’t win, I’ll allow it. I do wonder where this leaves Strickland in the middle of things.
RATING: ****1/4

Post-match, Don Callis enters the ring to celebrate with Andrade. In the back, Renee looks to catch a word with MJF, but here comes Kenny Omega! Kenny says one more match, and he will take that title from MJF. He wants to shake hands with MJF, but Max spits in his hand and walks away. Andrade approaches and he says he wants that World Title. MJF reopens the door and tells his driver to get going, and they take off. Hangman looks around as the scene ends, and with that, we are done!
