Jon Moxley Shares His Favorite PAC Story in Emotional Promo Following Last Night’s AEW Dynamite

Jon Moxley addressed the Pittsburgh crowd after last night’s AEW Dynamite went off the air, sharing his favorite quote from PAC and thanking them for their support on an emotional night for everyone involved.

Moxley, who defended the AEW Continental Championship against Orange Cassidy and later had an emotional moment with Bryan Danielson at the PAC tribute show last night, recalled PAC sitting in a sauna and delivering a memorable line about the group’s approach to pro wrestling. PAC essentially said that The Death Riders were professionals who deeply cared about their work, and it’s something that has stayed with Moxley ever since.

The former AEW World Champion relayed PAC’s message, urging the crowd to approach everything with sincerity and gratitude Here’s what Jon Moxley said:

“Thank you, thank you, Pittsburgh, for tonight. I know this wasn’t what anybody expected when they bought a pair of wrestling tickets. But this is something really special; thank you for sharing it with us. I don’t have any special or smart or genius words for a situation where there are no words, but I wanted to share this one thing.

“PAC said one time that was one of the most, one of my favorite lines anybody’s ever said specific to us, is sitting in a sauna in my basement doing a promo, because we thought it was funny for him to be sitting in a sauna just sweating, being The Bastard, miserable in sauna, you know, describing who we are, what this team is, and what we do every single day, and he said-forgive my language-he said, ‘We are professionals who give a sh*t,’ and that’s probably my favorite thing anybody has ever said, and it’s what we aspire to.

“It’s just a cooler, funnier way to say … What we aspire to every single day, and you know, not everybody’s a pro wrestler. Maybe you do something else. But whatever you do with your time while you’re here, every single day, give a sh*t! If you’re gonna do something, do it well. If you’re gonna cook an omelette, if you’re gonna go to your job, if you’re gonna pick your kids up from school and take them to the park, whatever it is that you do, do it with purpose, and give a sh*t. Do it with purpose and gratitude, and surround yourself with people that you love, that also give a sh*t about the same things that you do, and that… I don’t know, because I don’t know anything, but that might be the key to life. So, thank you, Pittsburgh!”
