Jon Moxley defended the AEW Continental Title against Orange Cassidy before having an emotional moment with Bryan Danielson on this week’s AEW Dynamite. Wednesday night’s show saw Moxley put his title on the line against Cassidy. Moxley came out with PAC’s chair lit up on the side of one of the tunnels, while Cassidy came out with a PAC T-shirt and an armband.

The match saw a number of homages to PAC, including a callback to his match with Cassidy at AEW Revolution 2020 as Cassidy rolled across the ring to the floor at one point. Moxley also hit his late stablemate’s running start lariat late in the match and then locking in a Brutalizer. Cassidy applied a Brutalizer of his own, which Moxley fought out of and hit a Curb Stomp. The Death Rider finished the match at a little over 17 minutes.

You can see clips from the AEW Dynamite match below. After the match, Bryan Danielson came out, fighting off tears. He and Moxley stared off a moment before embracing in the ring.
