Jonathan Gresham to Wrestle First Match Since Two Strokes

Jonathan Gresham is officially set to make his in-ring return after suffering two strokes in August 2025. On February 1, 2026, at SuperPower Slam, he will take part in his first match since suffering two strokes earlier this year.

The event, announced by Game Changer Wrestling and Jersey Championship Wrestling, will be held at the Melrose Ballroom in New York City. The show will feature several notable names, including Matt Cardona, Mance Warner, Effy, Paul Walter Hauser, and Man Like Dereiss. SuperPower Slam will stream live on TrillerTV+ It also serves as a benefit show for the neurodivergent community, with proceeds supporting the Little Oaks Center for NeuroDiversity.

This booking represents a major milestone for Jonathan Gresham after his terrifying health scare in August. He revealed at the time that he had woken up unable to walk, speak clearly, move his left side, or see properly. He said it took him nearly 30 minutes to call 911. Doctors later confirmed through MRI scans that he had experienced two strokes.

Before his medical emergency, Gresham last competed on August 2 at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIV, where he faced Pete Dunne. He has spent the months since then recovering under the supervision of his neurologist. While no opponent has been named for his February return, the announcement confirms he is moving toward a complete comeback. It also remains unclear whether he will wrestle any warm-up matches ahead of SuperPower Slam.
