Kevin Nash Pushes Back On Comparison Between His Diesel Run & Roman Reigns

On the latest episode of Kliq This, Kevin Nash talked about whether WWE’s long-term plan for Roman Reigns is what the company once wanted to do with his Diesel character. A fan suggested that Reigns’ position as the dominant long-term champion is something that was planned for Diesel when Hulk Hogan left, saying that WWE should have given Bret Hart a couple more years and then passed the torch to Nash. Nash pushed back on the comparison, saying that they were very different situations. You can check out some highlights below:
Kevin Nash on the Comparison Between Him and Reigns:
“I didn’t make the Diesel decision — that was Vince’s (decision)… It was a completely different situation. There was no Hulk that left before Roman. You’re talking about the iconic (guy) — ‘We got rid of Santa Claus, but I think if you’d had one of the other elves there for three more years.’ It’s like, f**k, come on man.”
On Not Watching Wrestling Right Now:
“I’m not even watching. I’ve taken a break from watching pro wrestling. It’s just — man, it’s summer, and I’m 67 years old.”
