Latest On Adam Cole’s AEW Status Amid Hiatus

A new report has a bit of an update on Adam Cole amid his hiatus from the ring due to health concerns. As previously reported, Cole announced back in July at AEW All In: Texas that he was dealing with health issues and stepping away for the time being. Cole was the TNT Champion at the time and he vacated the title.

Cole has not been seen on TV since. It has been confirmed that he is dealing with concussion issues. Sean Ross Sapp was asked about him in the latest Fightful Select Answers Q&A. It was noted that at last word, he was still dealing with those issues.

The report goes on to say that there aren’t plans for Cole to return and he has not been discussed for any creative plans. Tony Khan wants to keep Cole part of AEW as long as he can. Cole has not been on the road, as that would potentially slow down his recovery process.

No word on when Adam Cole may return to the ring or TV.
