Lex Luger Explains Why He Missed Hall of Fame Segment on WrestleMania 41

Lex Luger was notably absent from the Hall of Fame segment at WrestleMania 41 night one, a situation he explained on Tuesday. Luger was inducted into the Hall of Fame at Friday’s ceremony but was absent on Saturday, and he told Ariel Helwani on the latter’s show that it was simply a matter of his not feeling up to it.

“It’s wild how that stuff catches fire,” Luger said (per Fightful). “With all that happened, the next day on Saturday, I could hardly get out of bed.”

He continued, “I called the guys and they were cool about it. They said, ‘Look, we’d love to have you down there. Let’s see how you feel later in the day,’ but it was obvious by later in the afternoon that I wasn’t going to be able to get out there.”

The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony took place late on Friday, airing two hours after Smackdown went off the air.
