Darby Allin, Will Ospreay, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Golden Lovers Win Brutal Lights Out Steel Cage Match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Ospreay Gets Assaulted Post-Match

– It was brutal all-out war in the Lights Out Steel Cage Match main event at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door London. However, it was the team of Darby Allin, Will Ospreay, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and The Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi) who came out the victors. They defeated The Death Riders, The Young Bucks, and Gabe Kidd in the chaotic matchup.

Eventually, Hiroshi Tanahashi came in wiht High Fly Flow on Matt Jackson to score the pinfall victory. However, after the matchup, the Death Riders kept up the attack, brutalizing poor Will Ospreay. Ospreay’s teammates were locked outside of the cage, allowing the Death Riders to assault the vulnerable Ospreay.

As previously reported, Will Ospreay is dealing with herniated vertebrae and reportedly needs to undergo neck surgery. The post-match angle likely sets up a way to write-off Ospreay and give him time off to get surgery and rehabilitate from the injury.
