Lucha Brothers Tease In-Ring Reunion at Rey de Reyes; Penta Says He’ll Defend WWE IC Title in AAA

Penta and Rey Fenix kicked off week one of AAA Rey de Reyes.

Fenix first entered the scene and addressed the live audience before introducing his brother and reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion, Penta.

Notably, The Lucha Brothers were supposed to team up at AAA Guerra de Titanes this past winter, but a shoulder injury to Penta put paid to those plans. Fenix eventually teamed up with WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio to take on Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano II.

Penta brought that up on tonight’s show and teased an in-ring reunion with Fenix. The duo said that it will either happen at Triplemania or when the Mexican company returns to Puebla.

Cero Miedo also announced that he would defend the Intercontinental Championship in AAA as well, inviting anyone in the locker room to step up. The highly popular luchador captured the WWE Intercontinental Championship from Dominik Mysterio on last week’s RAW. He notched up his first successful defense against El Grande Americano II this past Monday night.
