New Matches Set for Tomorrow’s TNA iMPACT! TV Tapings in Albany

TNA Wrestling announced the first matchups for this week’s TNA iMPACT! TV tapings in Albany, New York. Former X-Division Champion Leon slater faces Eddie Edwards in a singles bout. Also, in the Knockouts division, newly crowned TNA Knockouts World Champion Xia Brookside faces off against former champion Lei Ying Lee in a rematch for the title.

TNA announced, “ALBANY! #TNAiMPACT is coming to the Broadview Center on July 1 – see @LEONSLATER_ vs. @TheEddieEdwards and @XiaBrookside vs. @TheLeiYingLee for the Knockouts World Championship!”

Brookside beat Lee to win the championship last Sunday at Slammiversary. Meanwhile, Slater competed in the Ultimate X match for X-Division Title at the same event. Cedric Alexander managed to win and retain the belt.

TNA is set to tape upcoming episodes of Thursday Night iMPACT! on July 1-2 at the MVP Arena in Albany. There will also be a live edition of iMPACT! on Thursday, July 2.
