Matt Hardy Feels Adam Cole’s Involvement with MJF’s Full Gear Match Was “A Little Over The Top”

Speaking recently on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the wrestler offered some criticism for the MJF vs. Jay White bout from Full Gear (via Wrestling Inc). Hardy explained that the inclusion fo Adam Cole as a possible replacement what a bridge too far for audience credulity. You can find a few highlights from Hardy’s breakdown of the show and listen to the full podcast below.
On the events around MJF’s defense of the title: “I do agree with the Adam Cole thing, that was a little over the top as far as the angle that he was going to accept the match. Considering the parameters that AEW has kind of set up for clearing competitors and whatnot that was a little much.”
On how the various factors of the fight presented White and MJF: “I think at the end of the day, he main evented a PPV. There were a lot of crazy circumstances that led to MJF ultimately winning, and it doesn’t bother me, just for the record.”
