Latest Update on Malakai Black After Release From AEW

As previously reported, Malakai Black was released from AEW earlier this month, along with Miro and Ricky Starks. It had been reported before that WWE was interested in bringing him back to the company. Starks already debuted for NXT shortly after his AEW exit.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Black, under his WWE name of Aleister, is expected to return to WWE “imminently.” No other details were provided about when or where.
