Mercedes Mone gave a defiant “goodbye” to fans online after announcing her hiatus from AEW on this weekend’s Collision. As noted, Saturday night’s episode saw the former AEW TBS Champion announce that she was taking time away from the company. Mone delivered the news in a vignette in which she said that she’s received nothing but disrespect from the other women in AEW and is stepping away indefinitely to teach everyone a lesson.
Mone posted to Twitter after the show, giving a simple “Goodbye” with a middle finger “money mouth” emoji.
Goodbye 🖕🏾🤑

Mone has been unsuccessful in her attempts to win the AEW Women’s World Championship, losing in two title matches over the past year. She has been on a downward spiral since she began losing her 13 concurrent titles. That includes losing the TBS Championship to Willow Nightingale on New Year’s Eve and losing to the Babes of Wrath, both in the tournament to crown the first Women’s Tag Team Championship and in the champions’ first defense.
Mone still holds eight titles. She is the APAC Women’s Champion, WPW Women’s Champion, BODYSLAM Women’s Champion, DW Women’s Champion, PTW Women’s Champion, Bestya Women’s Champion, CMLL World Women’s Champion, and EWA Women’s Champion.
