Mike D Vecchio Vacates wXw European Championship Due to Injury

– European wrestling star Mike D Vecchio, who is rumored to be in the process of signing with WWE, is vacating his wXw European Championship. wXw issued an announcement yesterday, noting that D Vecchio is expected to take another break due to a “persistent knee injury” that he’s had and has been flaring up since last August. The full announcement is available below (via Google Translate)
“@MikeDvecchio has informed us that he unfortunately has to take another extended break due to a persistent knee injury that has been flaring up and down since last August. Mike had already taken a break for some time during the winter. Since Mike has to cancel all his wXw dates until the end of July and would now have a second break of several months without title defenses during his European Championship Reign, we unfortunately see no other option than to vacate the wXw European Championship. We wish Mike D. Vecchio a full recovery during his break. We will select a second wrestler who will compete in the wXw European Championship on Friday at #wXwFAN 2025. @MarkthalleHH on @Metehan1Baba to rematch the wXw European Championship.”
The earlier report on D Vecchio noted that he’s expected to start with WWE later this September.
