MJF Featured in Trailer for Upcoming Movie Stranglehold

AEW star and former World Champion MJF is in another irreverent Christmas movie, but this one isn’t Violent Night 2. Quiver Distribution recently released a new trailer for the new Christmas-themed heist/dark comedy, Stranglehold.

In the upcoming feature, a small-town Arkansas stripper named Bailey (Ashley Benson) robs the club she works at with the help of her former military husband Tim (Jake Lacy), so they can get their daughter a decent Christmas and a better life.

MJF also appears in the movie opposite Justin Long, Ron Perlman, and former WCW World Heavyweight Champion David Arquette. MJF appears in the movie, appearing as one of the gangsters who works for the crime boss, Roger (Perlman).

Former WWE broadcaster Kayla Braxton also appears in the movie as Ashley, a dancer at the club. Ryan Cabrera, the husband of WWE Superstar Alexa Bliss, is also credited in the movie as “Influencer Dad.”

Stranglehold is directed by Clark Duke from a screenplay he co-wrote with Chandler Duke and Billington Garrett. The movie releases digitally and on demand on October 2.

MJF will also be appearing in Violent Night 2, which hits theaters on December 4.
