– PWInsider has more details on Netflix’s upcoming Hulk Hogan biopic, which was announced yesterday. And no, those details don’t include Rusev. The film will star Chris Hemsworth as the Hulkster, with Todd Phillips directing.
The film is still in early stages but Netflix is said to be “very high” on the project, even though a script has not been completed. John Pollono (Stronger) and Scott Silver (Joker) will write it once the deal has been completed. Once producers (which include Bradley Cooper and Eric Bischoff) are happy with the script, production will begin. So far no additional cast members have been named. Hogan himself will be a consultant and executive producer. The film will focus on the origins and rise of Hulkamania while avoiding the scandals and tragedy of his later life.
