More On WWE Firing Mandy Rose, Rose Was Reportedly ‘Blindsided’ By News

As previously reported, Mandy Rose was fired from the WWE due to nude photos she posted on her fan subscription service. She dropped the NXT women’s title on Tuesday and was let go on Wednesday morning. The decision was made after Matt Bloom brought the photos to the attention of Shawn Michaels. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Rose was said to be ‘blindsided’ by the news after the NXT episode was rewritten to get the title off of her.

WWE felt it had no choice but to fire her as her content had become more racy. The difference between Rose and others who have had nudes leak is that they had private photos hacked and she is the one making hers available. It was noted that some believe Rose was fired without being given an option to take her photos down.

Rose was able to sell the photos to begin with as NXT wrestlers do not have restrictions on using their wrestling name to make outside money. This is different for main roster talent. Rose had a main roster contract and made more than the NXT roster but didn’t have the main roster restrictions.

After her release, Rose raised the cost of her subscription service from $25 to $40 a month.
