Natalya Wants To Do More Than Wrestle In WWE: ‘I Want To Be Everything’

Natalya says she wants to expand her role in WWE beyond performing, with plans to explore writing, directing, creating, and producing.

In her almost-two-decade long career in WWE, Natalya has done it all. She has won the women’s title multiple times while continuing to put over young and new talent. Beyond the ring, she and her husband, Tyson Kidd, run a private wrestling training facility called the dungeon. Natalya has recently branched out to the independent circuit, fighting in various events under her pre-WWE name ‘Nattie.’

She explained in an interview with Soundsphere Magazine that she wants to contribute behind the camera while continuing to wrestle actively. She recalled Ray asking why she still felt the need to prove herself after spending years paying her dues.

“Bully Ray, Bubba Dudley, he said to me, ‘Nattie, you’ve already paid your dues, why do you keep paying them?’ and I’m like, ‘because the rent’s always due’. There’s never going to be a moment as long as I’m actively wrestling that I’m not going to be paying my dues.”

Natalya specifically mentioned working with both the women’s and men’s rosters, writing promos and helping develop WWE stories.

“I don’t want to just be a wrestler in WWE, I want to be everything. I want to be behind the camera. I want to be working with the girls, I want to be working with the guys. I want to be writing promos, directing, creating, producing. I see myself building stories far, far, far beyond what I’m doing in the ring.”
