Niko Vance Turns On Shawn Spears After Loss on WWE NXT

The Culliing has officially imploded, as Niko Vance turned on Shawn Spears following a tag team loss on this week’s WWE NXT. Tuesday night’s show was a rough one for the trio, as Izzi Dame lost a #1 contenders match while Spears and Vance came up on the short end of a bout with Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux.

Spears factored into both losses, as Dame was looking in a good position to defeat Arianna Grace in the Women’s Speed Tournament to determine Wren Sinclair’s next challenger for the Women’s Speed Title. However, Spears called for a high five and that distracted Dame enough for Grace to get the roll-up pin. Then, Spears took the pinfall in the tag team match after being hit with a 450 Splash from Legacy and a shooting star press from Van Dux.

After the latter match, Vance exploded on Spears and sent him over the ropes to the floor with a clothesline. He then chokeslammed Spears through the announce table. Dame gave Spears a disgusted look and patted Vance’s shoulder before the two walked off.

You can see clips from the matches and post-match below. The Culling has been an active faction since November of 2024 and originally included Vance, Spears, and Brooks Jensen. Dame joined in early 2025 and kicked Jensen out in June. Tatum Paxley was a member of the group from July until they turned on her in November, costing Paxley the NXT Women’s Championship in the process.
