Nixon Newell Comments On Walking Out of AEW Collision, Note On When They Left

Nixon Newell took to social media on Sunday morning to comment on the news of herself and Miranda Alize walking out of last night’s AEW Collision. As reported, Newell and Alize walked out after turning down the planned creative for their match against Tay Conti and Anna Jay. The initial report suggested they did not want to lose. However, a subsequent report noted they took issue with the three minutes they were booked to lose in.

Alize commented last night saying that they had “SOOOOOOOO much to say.” Newell had remained quiet other than retweeting Alize and some fan comments. She posted following the initial reports of the walkout, writing:

PWInsider shared a new report confirming Fightful’s news that the issue was the time of the match. The two were told that the show’s timing was locked in, and they chose to leave an hour before the show’s start.

Maya World and Hyan took the duo’s spot in the AEW Women’s Tag Team Tournament bout. As noted, AEW officials were very pleased with their stepping in.

AEW has often brought talent in to lose first appearances and then get pushes. Past examples PWINsider pointed out include Skye Blue, Willow Nightingale, Konosuke Takeshita and Powerhouse Hobbs.
