WWE announced a deal for parts of the WWE library to stream on Netflix, and a couple new reports have some context as well as notes on the NXT library’s future. As noted earlier this week, Netflix and WWE announced that the service will become the new home for the WWE library in the United States. There has been some speculation on how much of the library will be coming to the service, and according to Fightful Select, the answer is “not everything.”

Specifically, the report notes that the deal is primarily for the company’s archived PLEs. Most of that content was already on Netflix internationally, and they are now available. There are also a couple of WWE documenteries such as the Ric Flair and XFL ESPN 30 For 30 features. 1985’s The Wresling Classic is also on the service. The report notes that there are still plans to slowly roll out other content on YouTube.

The big question as of now is what is happening to the big NXT events when they leave Peacock. The deal to air NXT conent on Peacock ends in March, which means that NXT PLEs won’t air there unless a new deal is made for NXT. Peacock will continue to host the Smackdown library as well as Saturday Night’s Main Event, as it was announced in August that the two sides had signed a multi-year deal to have the SNMEs on the service. Peacock is the sibling company of USA Network, which has the media rights for Smackdown.

According to The WON, the territorial content and similar footage is no longer streaming on Peacock. As noted above, that content will be released on YouTube via the WWE Vault channels.
