For a while, we’ve been wondering what will happen with the WWE library and archived content, with WWE’s streaming deal with Peacock ending on December 31, 2025. Now, WWE has confirmed that its current streaming partner, Netflix, will become the new home for the WWE library in the U.S.
Per the announcement by WWE today which is on their corporate website, the streaming service will be an expansion of WWE and Netflix’s existing long-term partnership. Effective immediately, Netflix will be the new U.S. home for WWE’s library of premium live events prior to September 2025, including WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble, award-winning documentaries, and original programming.
Financial details and other terms of the streaming deal for WWE’s library aren’t available. Per The Hollywood Reporter, it’s believed that the deal for WWE’s library is “a multi-year agreement.”
Last night’s edition of Monday Night Raw celebrated the first anniversary of the launch of WWE’s and Netflix’s partnership, with Raw becoming a weekly staple in Netflix’s global English Top 10 rankings. Past episodes of Monday Night Raw are also available as part of the WWE library on Netflix.
Notably, WWE premium live events after September 2025 will be exclusive to the ESPN App. Also, WWE’s Saturday Night Main Event specials and weekly SmackDown episodes will remain exclusive to NBC Universal’s Peacock platform. THR notes that the NBC/Peacock deal covers both current and archive programming for the two aforementioned programs.
The announcement of the WWE library on Netflix also comes ahead of the upcoming Season 2 debut of the original behind-the-scenes documentary series, WWE: Unreal, which launches on the streamer on January 20, as Netflix cements itself as the home of WWE.
