As previously reported, the WWE library of archived content is officially leaving Peacock today. Fightful Select has an update on the end of the WWE library on Peacock era, where WWE library content might be hosted next.
WWE is reportedly working on a non-exclusive host for its library, but sources indicate to Fightful Select that YouTube remains a big piece of WWE’s library plans. As previously noted, no new deal for WWE’s archive has been reached, and the promotion is said to be exploring its options.
Additionally, it’s believed that the library content will slowly be rolled out on WWE’s YouTube channels. Also, WWE is suspected to be able to reach a favorable deal with Google for videos, as WWE is frequently a top-performing channel.
Fightful also reports that there are no plans to mass-release the library content, unless a new deal is reached with an alternative platform to host their library.
For now, WWE NXT premium live events and WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event will remain on Peacock as the only holdouts. The next edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event is scheduled for January 24 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec. It will stream live on Peacock.
