– A new report has several injury updates out of last night’s MLW Fightland taping in Philadelphia. PWInsider has details on Nicole Savoy and TJP’s statuses, both of whom were injured at the show, along with Alexander Hammerstone.
As had been reported, Savoy was stretchered to the back after her match with Holidead where she was believed to have taken a rough kick to the chest. She was sent to the hospital and Dave Prazak, who was the agent for the match, went with her. They did not return by the end of the show and the belief is that she had badly bruised or broken ribs.
TJP’s injury is believed to have been a knee issue and he could have “gutted it out” but it was decided in the end that he would not work a second match as scheduled. TJP defeated Alex Shelley in the first round of the Opera Cup and was replaced in the second round.
Hammerstone had a splint on his ankle after his match with Jacob Fatu, as he suffered some sort of injury during the main event bout. You can see the full spoilers from the show here.
– The site notes that attendance last night was in the 500 to 600 range. MLW will return to the 2300 Arena on November 6th and have more dates set for the arena after that. There was discussion that the November 6th show may be main evented with a War Chamber match.
– Finally, Savio Vega, Homicide, Josef Samuel, Konnan, Dave Prazak and Mike Patrick worked as agents for the show, with Court Bauer also involved in laying out the main event along with Vega and Samuel. Homicide was working his first show for MLW as an agent.
