Paul Wight made an appearance before tonight’s AEW Dynamite went on the air, saving Steven Borden and Kiran Grey from an attack by The Swirl. The dark match segment before Dynamite saw Borden, Sting’s son, and Grey get attacked by Blake Christian & Lee Johnson. Wight came down to the ring to make the save and laid out both Christian and Johnson. You can see a clip of the segment below.
Paul Wight, who hasn’t wrestled since 2024, had teased an appearance in an interview this morning in which he said:
“I’m going to be in the ring doing something. I can’t tell you what, because it’s a big secret. But if you come, you will see me maybe slap some people around.”
Borden and Grey have been appearing semi-regularly in dark matches before AEW Dynamite.
