Penta Set to Return to AAA on August 15

WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta is set to return to Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide next month.

During tonight’s media scrum, AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio announced that Penta will return to the Mexican promotion during the August 15th show in Torreón, Mexico.

His return had to do with Los Perros del Mal, who picked up a monumental victory against El Grande Americano and Dominik Mysterio in tonight’s main event, albeit due to “Dirty” Dom’s betrayal of Americano.

Penta was last seen in action in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide on April 11, 2026, when he successfully defended the WWE Intercontinental Championship against El Hijo del Vikingo.

The masked wrestler is set to defend his gold against Chad Gable at SummerSlam: Minnesota next weekend.
