Rey Mysterio To Appear On Tonight’s AAA On FOX

Rey Mysterio will be back in his General Manager capacity for tonight’s AAA On FOX, as announced on Saturday. Lucha Libre AAA announced this afternoon via Twitter that the WWE Hall of Famer will be appearing on week one of the AAA Verano de Escándalo taping, as you can see below.

The announcement reads (translation via Google):

“What surprises will AAA’s General Manager, Rey Mysterio, bring us today? TODAY #AAAVeranoDeEscandalo Week 1

LIVE 8PM on Fox and Fox One. 10PM on Fox Tubi in Latin America, 10e/7p on Facebook and YouTube for the rest of the world.”

The announcement comes after Dragon Lee revealed that he is unable to compete at tonight’s taping due to a collateral ligament tear in his thumb. It’s not clear whether Mysterio’s appearance will be related to Lee’s being pulled from his match, where he was set to face La Parka and Mecha Wolf in a qualifier for the Fatal Four-Way Match to determine the next AAA Latin American Champion.
